Frequently
Asked
Questions

What's special about your boards?

Professional cornhole boards are built to exact specifications defined by the American Cornhole League to create a consistent and competitive playing environment. Regulation boards measure 48" x 24" with a 6" hole precisely placed 9" from the top, and are typically constructed from high-grade materials like Baltic birch to deliver a controlled, predictable slide. They feature thick playing surfaces and reinforced H-leg frames to eliminate bounce, reduce vibration, and ensure uniform response across every inch of the board. In professional play, only boards that meet these strict standards are used.

What makes pro-level gear different?

Pro-level gear removes variability. It creates repeatable conditions, so players can develop real skill — and trust that their equipment performs the same way every single throw. That’s the difference between playing cornhole…and competing in it.

Can I play outdoors?

Yes - our products are great for outdoor play. However, to maintain performance and longevity, we recommend storing them in a dry place and avoiding prolonged exposure to moisture.

What do ACL stamps (PRO, ELITE, COMP, REC) mean?

The stamp system created by the American Cornhole League is designed to standardize equipment across all levels of play, ensuring fairness, consistency, and clear progression for players. At the entry level, REC (Recreational) gear is built for casual play and is not permitted in sanctioned competition. COMP (Competitive) gear is a step up in quality and is approved for many local and regional competitive environments, while PRO stamped bags and boards meet the highest performance and construction standards and are required for most ACL-sanctioned tournaments.

Where are your products used?

Our equipment is trusted by players across the globe and featured in official tournaments worldwide. Our ACL Pro Board is the official broadcast board as seen on ESPN.

What are cornhole boards made of?

Cornhole boards can be made from different types of wood and other materials depending on their intended use and construction. Competition-level boards commonly use high-quality wood such as birch to create a durable and consistent playing surface.

Can I use ACL PRO boards for backyard cornhole?

Yes. ACL PRO boards can be used for backyard games even though they are designed for high-level competitive play. Using competition-style boards can also help players develop consistent technique and become familiar with a professional playing surface.

Are college cornhole boards available?

Yes. We offer officially licensed college cornhole boards featuring teams from a variety of universities. These boards combine a full-size playing experience with officially licensed team designs, making them a popular choice for tailgates and fans.

How far apart should cornhole boards be?

For standard full-size cornhole, the front edges of the two boards are typically positioned 27 feet apart. This creates the standard playing distance used for traditional and competitive-style games.

WHY ACL
MATTERS

ACL-approved isn't a badge — it's a standard. When you play with American Cornhole League (ACL) equipment, you're playing with the best. Every bag and board we carry is designed and tested against the specifications that govern professional play.
